My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gilbert is a single male adult Abyssinian guinea pig about 3 years old who is looking for a girlfriend to keep him company! (We will not adopt him out to live alone) As typical of Abyssinian guinea pigs he is a big boy and handsomely tri-colored with lots of cowlicks. Gilbert does need to be handled gently and not grabbed or rushed as he can nip in self-defense if startled or handled roughly. This might well be the result of previous bad experiences and he definitely relaxes as he settles down and becomes familiar with his humans.

Gilbert has an excellent appetite for his Oxbow Cavy Cuisine pellets & Timothy hay and enjoys a variety of fresh vegetables twice a day. Gilbert and his new friend will need to live in a Cubes and Coroplast cage of at least 2 cubes by 4 cubes and be in a family part of the house so everyone can enjoy their company. We also ask that anyone adopting her lives a reasonable driving distance from Mt Airy, MD.
