My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Booker is a 12 year old pure-bred Italian Greyhound, who is around 14 lbs.  He is blue (grey) and white in color and has an outgoing friendly personality.  He has been trained to go potty outside on a leash and gets along with other dogs great.  We do not know how he may react around a cat as he hasn't been around one in the past, so a friendly cat may be ok.

Booker is a pretty classic personality of the breed, super needy, wants all the attention, when my other dogs get in lap he pushes them off and he gets on. He is so sweet and loves to be held and snuggle, he has lots of energy outside but in turn sleeps a lot. He is pee pad trained and outdoor trained- he usually goes on the pee pad during the night a few times. He loves to be under the covers of the bed, or against a pillow, he is super chill with other dogs, rarely ever aggressive. He gets his way a lot and is used to it... but he is amazing. Loves to go after a tennis ball, or anything that has squeak to it. He does not like to be alone, and prefers the lap. Well behaved, pretty easy to feed, likes to get a treat before you leave the house, likes the tv or music on when you are not there. Loves to be outside, will relax in the sun or on a soft towel and sun bathing is his favorite. You can take him anywhere, and if you drive he will want your lap while you are driving or h e will whine the entire time.

Booker has a sensitive neck due to an accident in the past and he has lost sight in one eye completely, however no pain seems to associated with it and he has adjusted fine, when walking him, keeping him on your right side so he can see you out of his left eye is most helpful.  This guy also has a notable heart murmur, so he will need a family accepting of that too.  No medications are taken with the heart murmur and he lives normally with it.

Booker is like the baby of the family, needs and demands lots of attention. He wants to be in your lap at all times, he must sleep at your hip under the covers. he is so sweet and such a little lover, lots and lots of energy, so playful, loves to play fetch, can never get enough walks in the day, loves to snuggle and sleep. He is great outside, never jumps ups on people really well mannered, inside he will jump up on you, he is super agile. He will need to be contained when playing if there is a large space.

Booker and his buddy Max came in to rescue together, but can likely be split if needed in order to find homes.  Their previous owner had a very hard time deciding to let them go, but did it in their best interest after she was not able to care for 3 dogs by herself.
