Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
Beautiful Mya came to SHRF from a loving home who felt they could no longer give her the care that she needed. Mya is the ideal Husky for any home, as long as her adopters understand her health challenge. She has epilepsy but does not have seizure occurrences very frequently and has just started on inexpensive medication to control them.
This takes a little time to adjust to and will require periodic vet visits to get to the accurate dose. Huskies, as well as other breeds with epilepsy, can still live a long, happy and healthy life. Further information on taking care of an epileptic dog is available on multiple websites, e.g.: https://www.vetinfo.com/caring-epileptic-dog.html .Mya is a little on the chunky side (a possible side effect of her medication) so could stand to lose 10 or so pounds. This shouldn't take too long with regular exercise.
Mya is as sweet as can be and well behaved with a mellow personality; getting along well with other dogs. She is even cat friendly, having previously lived with a cat, although we advise caution when first meeting a new cat. Mya is housebroken and is not destructive when left unattended so will probably not need to be crated.
Mya loves her humans and is friendly to children of all ages. She would do well in a home with other dogs, cats, or as an only child.
If allowed, she loves to sprawl out to get comfy or curl up on the sofa, as this behavior was allowed in her previous home. Mya walks well on lead, only pulling a little when she gets curious or prefers a different direction.
Aside from her epilepsy, Mya is otherwise healthy, Heartworm negative, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. This girl is a joy to have around and well worth the extra care she needs just to have her in your life. Fill out an adoption application on our website, www.siberrescue.com, today.
