My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is a friendly, calm 5 year old black female with natural ears. She is such an easy foster! She's a very laid-back girl who wants nothing more than to hang out with her people. She's gentle with kids, and loves anyone who will pet her. She has a funny way of asking for attention .She stands in front of me and gives a low volume "woof" blowing her cheeks out. It is not a demand, but a request. She looks so funny when she does this. She's good with other dogs, large and small, and good with cats as well. Her former owners had a bouncy Pomeranian who would get in her face, and she was surprisingly tolerant. She's benn very trustworthy in the house. She did try getting in the trash on her first day in foster are, but she gave up quickly after having no success and being told to stop it. She came to rescue needing to lose some weight - she's not completely on board with that plan, but we're making progress! We're also working on basic obedience commands. She's learning quickly, particularly when there are treats involved, and she takes a lot of cues from her foster brother. Onyx is looking for a quiet, lower-activity home where she can just enjoy the company of her family.
