Meet Carson! This extremely handsome guy is full of personality and just adores his humans. He is eagerly awaiting for his new family to come along! Carson was rescued from a high kill shelter in Houston.
Carson is the epitome of his breed, The German Shepherd Dog, and is a total love bug. He is loyal, loving, and happy all the time. He has a passion for life, and enjoys doing anything as long as it's beside his person. He loves to go for car rides, or going on long walks and meeting new people. Carson enjoys meeting new dogs and gets along great with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He especially loves the company of his smaller canine friends,and enjoys playing with them. Due to Carson being more submissive then dominant, he will require a household with other dogs or a canine companion. He tends to have anxiety when he is without the presence of another dog so a home with a canine friend for him would be ideal.
He is very respectful of his feline companions and doesn't bother or mind them at all, unless they want to play. He enjoys sleeping at our cat's feet or stays close nearby. He gets along well with children but doesn't enjoy to be chased or yelled at, so due to this we suggest children who are respectful to a dog's feelings or older children. He has met children of all ages fine as long as he is not being chased or yelled at.
He is extremely smart, and learns well. He responds to all training motivators including treats, toys, and affection. He will do almost anything for a ear scratch or a tasty snack. He already knows most of his obedience, and is fully housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. He loves to play, and enjoys being outdoors with his family.
Carson is also fully vetted, meaning he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on monthly flea and heartworm prevention.
