Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DJ was born in October of 2010. We brought him home on Christmas as a present for our 16 year old daughter. Through her life changes, college , etc.. my husband and I have acquired the dog. However, we already have 2 other dogs. DJ is 7.5 lbs and will be 7 years old this October. Due to the fact that he is a little dog, he has to go out often. I am starting my own business, as well as my husband and our hours are long. Through the years the kids have grown up and moved out so the help we once had in walking the dog and spending time with the dogs have diminished. The other 2 dogs we have are bigger dogs and can be out in the house alone to roam free during the work day, as they do not have accidents. However, DJ, being a small dog can not be left out unattended for hours on end because he WILL have accidents, and although he is create trained we do not fell it is fair to have him in the create long hours at a time.
He has always been an inside dog, raised around children and other dogs. However, he is your typical little dog, and likes to be on your lap and the center of attention. He is create trained and house broke. Best suited for a family that has a stay at home parent or a retired household where folks are available for walks often and lots of love and attention. He will sleep with you all night and does not have to go out during the night. If you are sitting on the couch or in a recliner he wants to be on your lap. He is a very loving little dog, and comes from a big family, so he is used to a lot of attention. He does not have bad habits. such as chewing, tearing things up, getting into the trash, etc..
