My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is WINSTON.  I am a handsome 9-year-old male, Tri-color Cavalier.  My family surrendered me to a Vet because they could not financially care for me. After some time in the Vet’s care where I was neutered, had a couple of benign bumps removed, a dental and lost some serious weight; they asked Cavalier Rescue of Florida to help find me a forever home.
 
My foster family and their cavalier (and currently my best buddy) say I am easy to live with, and they are so pleased with me. You will find me quietly laying at their feet, or on the couch enjoying cuddle time.  I like to sleep on the floor next to their bed, or on the bed if invited. I do have dry eye, but I willingly get ointment twice a day. When they are away, I can be trusted without being in a crate as long as I have routine potty schedule.
 
Whether in the home or walking on the leash, I am calm and polite whenever I meet people, kids, and dogs. Oh and I ride quietly in my crate in the car. I will do well with a gentle dog in my forever home. The fenced backyard is nice for us to explore together. People that meet me admire my beautiful shiny coat and friendly manner.  If you are looking for a sweet loyal companion, then I am the dog for you!
 
  • I need a forever home where someone is home most of the time.
  • I need my forever family to help me maintain my weight (it was a lot of hard work getting here).
  • I need daily walks, a fenced backyard, and could live with other gentle dogs.
  • I am fostered in Pensacola, FL.  My adoption fee is $300.
