Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue is looking for a furever family for this amazing Dane!
ADOPTION PENDING...
I'm a very sweet 9 month old Merlequin Great Dane. I have beautiful blue eyes. I still have a lot of puppy left in me and some growing to do. I love to play and run in my foster families large yard. I like to be near my foster mom and my foster fur friends. I enjoy attention.
My first family could no longer afford to do testing for my gastrointestinal sensitivity. I have been tested for malabsorption and maldigestion and my results were negative. I have been put on Royal Canin GI diet and a daily probiotic and my gastrointestinal issues have resolved.
I am house trained and crate trained. I stay in my crate for 8 hours a day while my foster family is at work. At times I will just go in my crate to take a nap. I am left out freely when my foster family is at home and at night, I have been a very good girl.
I like to ride in the car. I walk pretty well on a leash, but do get excited sometimes and want to tug. I occasionally like to get on the furniture, I like to lay near my foster mom to sleep. I am good about getting off when asked so will just need some work on that. I like to use my mouth to get your attention, I don’t bite, but want to grab your hand to make sure you notice me, especially when I am excited. We are working on this.
I am very nervous at the vet, I get overwhelmed and mouthy, I also like to bark loudly which can intimidate people So to make sure we are all safe I must wear a muzzle.
I am timid and shy, it takes a while for me to warm up to new people. I love other dogs! I have not been around children or cats at my foster home yet. My foster parents think I would do best in a home with another older, calmer dog because I tend to follow the lead of my foster fur friends and am more open to new people and situations when I have them with me.
I know a few commands such as sit and no. I am really smart and try to open doors by turning the knob with my mouth. I like to watch TV. I have all of the great traits on being a great family dog. I am a sweet and loving girl who is ready to find my Forever Family!
