Here's what the humans have to say about me:
First we will tell you of a harrowing tale and then we will give you some info that we know about Rory now. In October 2016 we were contacted after a good samaritan brought a dog in to an ER clinic after beeing struck by a car. We found out later that the dog could not see, hear, walk, eat or use the bathroom by herself because of severe head trauma. They found out through X-Rays that she was also pregnant. She had not external injuries but she definitely was injured. A committed volunteer through Chihuahua Rescue and Rehab put every ounce of their heart and sole into this dog and each day she started to recover. We took her to a wonderful Eastern medicine doctor and gave her acupuncture treatments and she recovered even more. On November 4,2016 Rory had 3 beautiful puppies. 1 of the puppies was not healthy when born and we were unable to save her and she passed away 3 days later. Rory has had an almost complete recovery from her injuries. There is probably a slight loss of hearing and eye sight, but not enough to notice unless you had known her past. She sometimes (getting less and less often) she is a little wobbly on her feet but it is so minimal that it may just be an over protective foster mom noticing these things. This dog jumps, runs, plays, shakes toys, gives kisses, plays tug o war and does everything a typical feisty terrier should do. Now for the rest of the story...
Rory is a 2 year old Yorkie mix. We really aren't sure what else is in there but she has little tiny scruffs around her chin. She has a very spunky personality, she
is not much of a lap cuddler she loves to get down, run around and play
with her toys. She does have a lot of energy and will need space to run
or go for walks. She does great with kids of all ages. She gets along with dogs of all sizes but she would do best in a home with a male dog only who won’t mind if she plays with him. She would do best in a home with no cats.
She is house trained but needs to be watched so she knows where to go outside to use the bathroom. She was completely house trained with a doggy door but the foul weather and a new foster home has lead to her needing to be watched just a bit more. She is crate trained and crated overnight and when no one is home.
Rory is still young minded and will get into things she is not supposed to. She rides great in the car when loose or in a crate. She is still learning house manners and is doing very well with it. She is learning to come back when called and still
needs a lot of work with it as she is not good at listening while off leash. There is just too much excitement in the world for her to pay attention to everything!!
Rory's adoption fee is $200. She is spayed, chipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative.
