Hello there! My name is Marilyn and I’m a wonderful, playful and vivacious girl with a bright future ahead of me! I am a Shiba Inu Husky mix so you can be guaranteed that I will blossom into an independent and industrious thinker that will love exercise and mental stimulation. I am still very new to Power of the Paw, but at this point, I can tell you that I am one heck of a fighter. Most dogs that had been through what I have been through wouldn’t be so happy go lucky.

I was born into a household that sees animals as a means of making profit and though I was offered food and water, the life I knew didn’t involve any one on one time with my owner, no special treats, and no adventures together. My job was to hurry up and get old enough to have puppies that could be sold for a profit. Now some people think that I’m just a dog, but I know a thing or two about ethical breeding and I can promise you one thing, there’s absolutely no excuse to breed a dog that isn’t even purebred to begin with, I mean come on. I’m nice and all, but the point of intentional litters should always be to better the breed!

I just got so fed up with the whole situation that I decided to hop the fence, and I never looked back. Animal control picked me up shortly after my great escape, and to the surprise of no one, my previous owner didn’t come to reclaim me.

So what can I say? Now is my time. I like other dogs and I feel like I could get along well with some of the small humans too if I had to. All I want is a chance to have a family that looks at me and sees a being not a dollar sign.
If you feel like you could be the family for me, please apply at  www.powerofthepaw.org.  My adoption fee will be 200$ and I will come spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and dewormed, and vet checked. Thank you for checking me out and thinking adoption first!
