Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SPARKLES’ TIME IS ALMOST UP! PLEASE READ HER BIO AND THEN COME MEET HER. WE PROMISE YOU’LL FALL IN LOVE! Sparkles is an all-around great dog and really deserves a loving home. This cutie came in as a stray on 9/16. She's been here over a month and is the fourth “oldest” dog in a very full shelter. She’s just too good to not have a happy caring family! Sparkles loooooves people! She will sit at the front of her cage on her best behavior, just waiting for someone to come over to her. Outside she’s a riot. She has a lot lot lot of energy (though I guess I would too if I was caged all day). Sparkles likes to run around outside and enjoy the freedom and fresh air. She’s full of fun, always has a smile and her personality just, well, sparkles. She'll be great for a family with energetic kids who also have some energy to burn. She is really affectionate and an active snuggler! She’ll burrow into your lap and happily lie there being pet. Sparkles gives lots of kisses, is very friendly and eager to please. She made us all proud when she did marvelously during her tv debut on Channel 10 (she was our featured pet on 10/4). She is a little girl, weighing about 30 lbs. and appears to be a mix of Boston Terrier/Pit Bull. (Aren’t her ears hilarious!) Since Sparkles has been here so long, she is beginning to get dog reactive (act aggressively towards dogs walking by her cage). Unfortunately this is very normal. Dogs become very stressed in the shelter and frustrated with being caged all day every day. This doesn't mean that she is dog aggressive though! She met Scout outside through the fence and they did quite well with each other. Even with the stress of the shelter, Sparkles has stayed her sweet spunky self. She loves it when people come up to her cage and loves getting attention - even if only for a minute. Sparkles is a love bug and promises to give you a lifetime of laughs and licks. She loves to play but all she really wants is to find the sunniest spot, curl up next to her new family and just lie there smiling. If you are looking for a dog because you want a loving and devoted companion, then Sparkles is just waiting for you to take her home. -- Please email aimless123@gmail.com if you'd like to set up and appointment with a volunteer (Animal Control Officers and shelter employees do not work with the dogs and often can not provide information about the animal's personality). You can also visit the shelter during regular business hours.
