Buddy is a delightful Havanese male, 7 years of age. This small 8 ½ lb. Havanese has a lovely soft coat of non shedding hair that is white in color with gray highlights. The name “Buddy” truly describes this loving, devoted little dog. Buddy is truly happy when he is by your side and just enjoying time together. He loves to go on walks and gets so excited when he hears “let’s get your leash.” Buddy is playful and enjoys the game of “keep away” or "tug of war" with his soft plush squeaky toys. He is a smart dog and knows the basic commands of “sit,” “down,” “leave it,” “roll over,” but most of all he loves to play “patty cake.” Buddy is affectionate and likes to have his ears, neck and tummy rubbed/scratched when he cuddles next to you. During cold weather, Buddy may cuddle in bed next to a person for a little while, but he prefers to sleep in the comfort of his nearby crate. Buddy is a happy dog and the perfect home companion. When you return home he will greet you at the door with his tail wagging and will give you some “happy barks.” He is housebroken, and does best when he has access to a fenced yard via a doggy door. Buddy gets along with other small dogs, but he would be fine as an only dog as long as his adoptive family has time to enjoy his companionship.
Buddy is being surrendered by his owner due a recent change in employment that requires working long hours and forcing Buddy to be home alone for extended periods of time. In fairness to Buddy, an adoptive family with time to enjoy his companionship is sought. Buddy has spent his entire life as a devoted companion pet.
