My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sophie! This gorgeous bi-color German Shepherd is about 1 1/2 years old, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped and spayed. She will need an active family who can help guide her into adulthood and give her at least one walk a day or she will get into mischief. (Toilet paper is her favorite target.) She gets along well with most dogs especially with a proper introduction and provided the other dog is not pushy. Sophie has a great time with short play sessions with dogs she is familiar with. However she would do best in a home where she is the only dog at the point so her new family can concentrate on her and her obedience training. Sophie will do best in a home that has no cats or unspayed females and is also not on a busy street. (She barks at cars.) At the rescue Sophie is working on; her leash skills, not barking at her reflection and basic commands. Sophie will need continued one on one training to help her overcome her issues regarding vehicles. Sophie will need someone who has previous experience with German Shepherds.
