This 8 month old boy is friendly, outgoing, happy, house trained and crate trained! He wants an active home where his people are not gone long hours. Ivan wants a fenced yard and someone to throw the ball for him. He loves having a canine buddy, but he is an exuberant player and would need a sister/brother that will keep him respectful. Ivan spent a few days with a dog savvy cat and did fine. Ivan came to us a few months ago with chemical burns. His foster family has helped him heal, body and spirit, and is now ready for his forever family.
This is what Ivan’s foster family says about him: His "leave it" is amazing. He is extremely smart, and is curious about everything! He plays fetch with a ball and likes to bring it back He is a spunky fellow, but will sit in our laps and gives kisses. He really likes to cuddle and be with his people. His eye contact is amazing. He knows to look at us before he can go with a command of OK. He is working on “wait”, and “down” to perfect it. He sits for his food to be placed. With his amazing eye contact, he will continue to learn quickly. An active family, that wants to continue his training, and wants a loyal loving dog, who loves to play...would be a great fit. We've been around a lot of dogs......he is remarkable. Ivan is looking for an active family who likes to play/walk/run/hike, he wants a fenced yard, kids 10+ could handle his puppy exuberance and he would benefit from obedience training. Ivan's vet said the skin on his back where he was burned looks great! He will need a covering on his back when he is out in the weather elements for long periods..so no sunburn, cold etc.
Iva is about 33 lbs and is about 20 inches at the shoulder.
