Salutations! My name is Paul and I’m a lovely and enjoyable six years young yorkie man. I came to Power of the Paw from Post Falls Animal Control. I slipped away from my family one day and try as I might, I was unable to find them, and the local animal cops found me instead. I spent my whole stray hold waiting for my family to come, but as the days drug on, I realized they weren’t coming for me and I might have to face the world without them. What a scary prospect. Luckily for me, Power of the Paw decided to take me into their program and I was able to trade out my kennel for a nice foster home.
If you’ve met a Yorkshire Terrier before, you’ve met a guy like me-feisty, full of spunk and personality, and very affectionate. In my foster home, I have proven to be a good companion to the other dogs, sharing toys and nap spots accordingly. I have also been a very friendly boy to adults, but at my size, I really don’t have the confidence, or interest in sharing my space with any kids under 70 dog years old. They freak me out, and I will give them a little dose of my attitude, and they usually don’t like that too much. I’ve met cats a few times before and I think they are great- to chase, and to bark at. So they might not be too keen on sharing a house with me.
I am doing great with basic manners, and it’s clear that I’ve lived in a house before. I can be in a crate if you need me to, but I can respect the house when I’m not in my crate too. I am all around a relatively great house dog, and you can count on me to make good choices in the home. It’s only fair that you continue to make your expectations clear as time goes on so that I can continue to be a great addition to the family.
If you are interested in becoming a part of my story, you can apply for me at www.powerofthepaw.org. I will come neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and examined by a vet. Thank you so much for reading about me. I’m so looking forward to meeting you!
