My story

Geraldine (nickname – Jeri) came to us from our local shelter. A woman brought her into the shelter claiming that she found her on the side of the road. Jeri had a severe skin condition and receding eyes that were very dry. She was covered with fleas. Since our local shelter did not think that they had they resources to provide for her, nor the correct environment, they transferred her to Peaceful Passings. We took her to our vets and addressed her skin condition, fleas, got her up-to-date on vaccines, along with several tests to rule out other medical conditions. Jeri receives eye drops twice a day for her dry eye, but had recovered from all her previous ailments. She jumps up, barks for breakfast, rolls over on her tummy for belly rubs, and is a happy-go-lucky little gal. We are happy to have Jeri in our lives – everyone should be so lucky! Jeri is about 10 years old and maybe 15 lbs., though we do have her on a diet (she’s a little chubby).



Jeri is a loving little dog that is about 10 years old. She is blind, but gets around as well as the sighted dogs (can go out on her own and come back in on her own, in fact, she gets insulted if you try to help her get around). She jumps up, plays, and will wake up for a belly rub anytime. It's best not to sneak up on me when I'm sleeping - I can get a little startled and might grumble at you.
