Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet girl has been in our rescue and overlooked for more than a year. Purdy will make someone a wonderful best friend! She loves her people once she feels comfortable with them. She is very sensitive to loud noises or a raised voice and seems fearful of small children so we recommend a home with calm loving adults. She is shy and submissive but warms up quickly once she builds a bond with you. She likes to talk to you and she lets you know that you need to pay more attention to her by giving you a paw or a nudge with her nose for a pet or belly rub. She has quite the personality! Purdy is a 2 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier, Labrador, Malamute and Shepherd mix (we did a DNA on her). She is a very sweet and lovable girl! Purdy likes going for walks and could be a nice hiking partner. She loves hanging out in the house watching TV with you too. She knows basic commands and really wants to please. Purdy is house trained and will use a dog door.
Purdy would probably do best as an only dog as she does get a bit possessive about things she doesn't want to share, especially treats. That being said, she plays very well with her foster brother with no issues and has gone to doggy daycare and has had no problem. She seems okay around cats with proper introduction. She is nervous about confined areas so she would not be a dog you can crate. She would love a home with a big fenced yard to play in and a person to love her.
