My story

Greetings! My name is Timber. I am a majestic male mixed breed born in 2011. I weigh around 70 pounds.

My journey before MaxFund was not an easy one. My story began in La Junta, Colorado where I was picked up as a stray. I wasn't in good shape. My eye was injured and I had punctures and scabs on various spots on my body. The nice people that picked me up weren't sure about what had happened to me but it was obvious I had been through some hardship. Although things were looking grim, I didn't let them get me down. My spirit is strong, resilient and unbreakable! It will serve as a wonderful reminder that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. My high hopes for the future ended up paying off and I got the chance to move to MaxFund. I am so happy I get to find my forever home here!

It turns out the trauma to my eye did cause permanent damage. I am blind in my right eye and I require eye drops daily. Feel free to ask the front desk for more information! My eye is a little different in appearance and has a cool, cloudy look to it. I was feeling a little insecure about it until the folks here at MaxFund assured me it made me even more special and unique than I already am! Apparently, it gives me ‘character,' whatever that means, teehee! I've also gotten lots of compliments on the rest of my appearance! People have used words like ‘distinguished,' ‘majestic,' and ‘regal,' to describe my handsome looks. I don't want to sound stuck up, but I can't say I disagree that I'm an attractive dude.

However, I know it's what is on the inside that truly counts! I have the most gentle and endearing nature. Even though it seems I've been wronged by other beings in the past, I still have so much love and trust for other animals and people. My resilience and forgiveness should serve as an inspiration! If you have any potential canine siblings in the home, I'd love to meet them to see if we could coincide!
