Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sammy is about 5 years old and will do best in a quiet, adult home. He is shy in his crate and does a little dance to get out. You have to give him that time. You can reach in and touch his collar and he comes right out, just dont force him. He is very loving and affectionate once he gets to know you. He needs extra space the first few days to understand that you're okay and he is not going to get hurt. He is playful with his toys and loves walks and will sleep with you. He likes his crate and is fine in one all day when you go to work. He is an easy companion boy. He is scared of loud noises and yelling. He is fine with cats too! He is best in an an older kid or adult home. He is very sweet and has come a long way. He was TERRIFIED at the shelter. He prefers women over men. He's a cuddle bug.

Last Hope, Inc. is an all volunteer, foster based, no kill rescue! You can see almost all of our dogs on Saturdays from 11-3 at the following locations: Apple Valley Petco on 42 and Cedar and at the Burnsville Petco on 42 and Aldrich.
Policies: You do not have to have a fence to adopt a dog from us, but some dogs will require a fence or acres to play. Also, Since preschoolers are more likely to be bit, we do not place dogs in homes where children under the age of 4 are present.
The Adoption Fee is not enough to cover the vet bills. Sales tax of almost 7.25% is also included in the adoption fee that you see. Please consider donating to Last Hope to help us save these animals!
CAN YOU FOSTER? By taking a dog or puppies into your home temporarily and then coming to our adoption days to help find them homes, we can save more!
