Ashton became an ARF dog on 2/23/17 because his owners were divorcing. (Sad that neither of them wanted this nice dog!) A friend of the owners didn't want to see him go to just anyone, so she took him and turned him over to ARF. Ashton is a little shy at the moment, for he isn't sure where he is or why. He is nine years old and a registered dachshund who has never been neutered. This little guy weighs 15.2 pounds and is a light brown or buff color. Ashton received a shot and deworming upon intake. He is presently in boarding, but he would love to be in a home again resting beside someone on a couch. He has come to trust his caregiver at boarding and is her buddy. His world has been turned upside down, but he has never been the least bit snippy. He is reserved and unsure. At his age and in his situation, young children would probably frighten him. But he will respond well to patient love and attention, and he deserves it!
