Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE 11/02/08: My amputation surgery went wonderfully and fortunately, the bullets went straight thru and didn't do any damage anywhere else in my body. As much as my foster mom was hoping that the vet would not have to take my leg off, it was clear from the xrays that there really wasn't anything in the right place to fix and everything was shattered. I am already up and around and honestly am glad that I don't have to drag that leg around. My foster mom says that I am still very, very shy and afraid of people. I tremble even with her or my foster dad. They have done a great job gaining my trust, I just was born with no human contact for over 3 months and I am still weary of anyone. Once I am in their arms, I am content to hang out. I have finally gained some weight and weighed in at 14 lbs. Check back for new pictures!
I was born from a pack of dogs that some human dumped as puppies. I am not sure what human love is because all I have known is cruelty. I am only a baby about 3 months old. It seems that a human decided to use me as target practice with their gun. I am one of the lucky ones and am now safe in my foster mom's home. I am still not sure what love is but I hope to learn that from them. My left rear femur is shattered and I have a severe infection that I am taking antibiotics to get rid of. Once I am well enough, the vet says I have to have that leg amputated. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest boy who just needs time to realize that there are good people out there. She named me after a tropical location where there are no worries. Check back for more updates and pictures.
