My story

*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Dexter is a very handsome, extraordinarily friendly little Dachshund. Dexter weighs 13 pounds, is house trained, walks nicely on leash, loves to go for car rides, likes meeting new people and rarely barks. He is friendly with all dogs he has met and adores respectful children. Dexter came from a shelter after his former guardian was deployed and had no one to leave Dexter with. Dexter's next stop was our rescue to address a back issue Dexter had. Dexter was evaluated by an excellent neurosurgeon and it was determined surgery would be beneficial. Post surgery Dexter is doing great, he still walks a little funny but in all other ways he is a perfectly normal little dachshund. Dexter would be a wonderful addition to a loving dachshund savvy home. Dexter's ideal COLORADO home will have a fenced yard, no big dogs, no children under the age of 11 years old and an active guardian that is home more than gone.

If you would like to meet the adorable and entertaining Dexter an adoption application MUST be filled out and submitted first. This can be done online at c2cdr.org. Dexter has been fully vetted, his adoption fee is $225.00, the love and devotion he brings is priceless. Email boulderdachshunds@comcast.net for further information.
