Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louis is an adorable 5 month old, 25 lb German Shorthaired Pointer mix pup who is looking for a family to love! Louie had a rough start to life, having been found abandoned on traintracks with his litter mates who were all in very poor condition, starving and mangy. Thanks to Friends of Rescue, Louis was placed in a loving foster home and has since blossomed into a happy and healthy pup. Louis is fostered on a horse farm, and he gets along great with other dogs, cats, horses, pigs, and even chickens! Louis also loves playing chase/ball, and he is very gentle around children. Louis is nearly house trained and sleeps through the night quietly. He also rides well in cars! Because we anticipate that he will be at least 50 lbs and an athletic dog when he is done growing, we would like for Louis to go to an active home who will talk him for walks and play games. Fenced yard (or farm) is required. Louis will complete his vetting on March 27 and will be ready for a new home by March 31.
He will be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and he is dewormed and current on trifexis. He is located in New Market, AL, but is available for adoption in your area.
