UPDATED BIO 09/13/2017: Yogi continues to thrive amazingly well in his foster home. He is such a gentleman and also a sweetheart. He shows his affection for his foster mom and dad by giving kisses and always desires to be around them. Yogi is well-adjusted and gets along with kids, cats and other dogs.

Yogi loves to sit next to his foster parents or on their laps when they are sitting on the couch. When evening comes around and he's ready for bed, he will bark and head into his foster parents’ bedroom and ask to be put on the bed. Yes, Yogi is spoiled, but it is certainly well-deserved since he is such a good boy.

Because of Yogi’s congenital bone deformity in both his front legs, he does need help getting up and down from the couch and/or bed, but it certainly doesn't stop him from getting around or enjoying his walks. Because of his history with bladder stones, he does need to stay on his special diet to prevent him from developing future stones. Because of his special diet, he requires frequent potty breaks, but at the same time he's gets to enjoy outside time. Yogi sleeps throughout the night with no potty breaks.

Yogi's perfect forever home would be one with a stay-at-home person or couple, or retirees that had a lot of time to spend with this sweet boy. Yogi loves being with his humans and has enjoyed being in a foster home where he hasn't been left alone for any long periods of time. Could that home be your’s?

UPDATED BIO 07/05/2017: Yogi continues to do amazingly well in his foster home. He likes to be outside sitting on the grass enjoying the sunshine. He wags his tail, barks, and is very sociable; he tries to walk as fast as his legs can go to say hello to a neighbor as they walk by - so sweet. Yogi definitely loves being with his foster parents, and will love his forever parents as well - he is always wanting to be next to his humans or sitting on their laps.

Yogi does have some interesting qualities about him, which just give him such character. He was born with congenital bone deformities in both front legs. This causes his ankles to buckle up under him when he walks for long periods of time, but he has been building muscle and his ankles don’t buckle as often as when he first arrived. When this happens, he will fall forward, but if he is on a walk, pulling up on his leash/harness seems to relieve the pressure on his ankles and it helps him to walk better. There is no pain involved, and since Yogi has always had this condition, he just pops right back up and moves forward with his walk. What a trooper he is!

Yogi is a smart little fella; he is both house-trained and crate-trained. He travels well in the car and loves being with his foster mom and dad, whether he is sitting next to them or on their laps. He just loves his human companionship and also enjoys taking up space in your bed if you allow it!

Yogi is a special little character who loves life and has managed to overcome any adversity he has faced. And he has done it with a delightful personality, joy in his heart and a happy attitude. He will bring a lot of love and companionship to a new family – could that be your’s?
