My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Updated bio. 3/16/17. Zozo is a young, very adorable, sweet Yorkie mix. He is only 2.5 years old, and weighs 20 wonderful, loving pounds. Zozo is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Zozo wants to tell you about what a great dog he his.

Hello, my name is Zozo and I am looking for my forever and ever family. I am the perfect size and age for a family with some well-behaved kids who are maybe around 9 or 10 years old and older. I would like also another young dog to play with me if you have one. I love to run around and try to catch squirrels in the fenced backyard, so if you have a fenced yard for me that would be so great. I love everyone and I get along great with other dogs. I’m almost perfect if I must say so myself.

I am the best boy you could ever want. Here are all the great things about me: I am a great eater, I will sleep in my crate all night if I have to, but if you let me sleep with you I would be so happy to be your bed buddy. I ride nicely in the car, and I am okay on the leash, except I might pull a little sometimes, since I have so much to see and smell. I am pretty much house trained, I know to do my business outside. I love everyone and there’s no one I don’t get along with whether you have two feet or four.

I am a young fellow. The vet says I might be around 2 years old. I have had all my vaccinations, I had my teeth cleaned, and I finally got that operation, you know the one that means I can’t ever make little puppies. My life wasn’t always so happy. I had a bit of a rough start in my short life. I somehow found myself on the streets alone, and then it happened. A car hit me, and the shelter people came and picked me up and took me to the shelter. The people at the shelter tried to get someone to rescue me to fix what the car did, but no one came for days and days. Then when it was not looing so good for me, and it seemed no one was coming to get me out of the shelter, and it was almost hopeless, someone did come. They wrapped me in a blanket and took me from the shelter right to the doggie doctor. I spent a whole month at the nice doctor’s clinic. They were so nice to me. They gave me my funny name Zozo and they fixed me up. I couldn’t walk at all when I got there, and now I can walk, and run, and even jump like a jumping bean. While I was there took some pictures of my insides and found that my left shoulder had really bad nerve damage that could not be fixed. Because of this my left leg doesn’t work so well. Sometimes I don’t use it and sometimes I do. Mostly I don’t put it down, but when I am running, and I do like to run, I run on all four feet. My nice vet said there was nothing that could be done to make it better, but it won’t ever get worse either and it is what it is. Sometimes I get a little floppy because of that leg and my foster mom and dad call me a big, adorable, floppy puppy, and then they will scratch my chin and my face and give me a big kiss.

If you would like an almost perfect pup, one that loves to cuddle and give kisses, I am your guy. A fellow who likes to run and play you should pick me to be yours. My foster mom and dad said I am about the best pup they have every known and anyone who adopts me will be the luckiest people ever. So get lucky and put in an adoption application for me. You won’t be sorry.
