My story

Spirit embodies her name from every aspect. She is a smart, energetic, loving and tenacious little miracle. Spirit has a bullet lodged in her spine that is inoperable due to its location, so we sent her to rehab where she went from being immobile to being an active, zipping and zooming biggest sweetheart we’ve met! Spirit’s spirit knows no bounds! She is one of the happiest pooches you’ll ever meet and incredibly playful. She loves people, other dogs (of all sizes), strolling outside or even accompanying you on your shopping trip! ! Spirit is a "spinal walker" for her regular day adventures, but she packs along her wheelchair for marathons. This adorable little gal is ready to take charge and become your spirit guide!

If you're interested in adopting this pet please fill out our matchmaking questionnaire (www.rescuefromthehart.org). We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours. Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $350 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.
