Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear is a 70 pound, (neutered) male, 2 year old, American Bulldog/Staffordshire Terrier mix. Bear was surrendered by his family as they could no longer care for him due to financial hardship and divorce. Bear lived most of his life in a small, overcrowded townhouse with his owners, his pit bull terrier "sister" Honey, and a 5 year old little (human) girl. Bear's outdoor experience was limited to a small patio that he used via a doggie door. Bear is a total sweetheart and has been learning how to walk politely on a leash in addition to improving his basic manners with the trainers from Los Angeles Responsible Pit Bull Owners (www.larpbo.org). Bear is an extremely loving and affectionate dog and he has lots of energy. He also loves to cuddle up on the couch, sleep in bed with you, or hang out on the floor while chewing a bone. He is crate trained, but needs a lot of exercise every day. He loves people of all ages and loves all dogs, especially alpha females. We do not know how he gets along with cats! Bear is a very healthy young guy, he is microchipped and current on all of his vaccines. Bear's adopter will also receive 4 weeks of group training classes with LARPBO. Please contact The League of Extraordinary Mutts to apply to adopt Bear or if you have any questions - info@loemrescue.org.
