Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bean is a five-month-old female tortoiseshell kitten. Bean was found in a backyard when she was only 3 weeks old. There were many cats wandering in the yard, but Bean’s mom was among the missing. Unfortunately, Bean fell into the wrong hands, and was neglected, mistreated and abused from a very young age, and she’s only five months old! So, Bean carries “tortitude” that cats of that coat color do, and she does to the extreme. And this very tortitude may well have saved her life, for she is fiercely independent and has survived a life that had no love, no security, no gentleness, no safety, no trust. We hope that an individual or family that appreciates and understands the torti personality will find Bean, because she is just a beautiful girl. And that with time, and patience, Bean will flourish under their care, and she will eventually forget that some humans can be mean and cruel and uncaring. Think about what you start with, and what you could end up with…with time, patience, empathy and understanding…care to roll the dice? We’re betting on Bean, that she’ll be an awesome cat in the RIGHT hands!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
