Chase is an insanely cute ball of fluff. He is a typical active, playful, clumsy puppy. He is showing early signs of being dominant-- he humps during playtime and he whines when he wants attention. He is by NO means a terror. He is really fun and playful and will grow up to be an amazing companion. He is mostly crate trained, almost house trained, and is very affectionate towards dogs and people. He goes on off-leash walks with his foster mom and he follows behind her perfectly. He plays with his foster dog brothers and sisters very well. He loves being held.
He would really benefit from another dog teaching him how he should behave. A dog who will put him in his place when he plays too rough.
His mother was one of the sweetest angels we've ever had at the shelter. She is a Dachshund/Chihuahua. We do not know who the father is, but he obviously had long fluffy white fur. Our best guess is a Cocker Spaniel, but we cannot confirm that.
His mother was found as a pregnant stray in Porterville, Ca. She was at a high-kill shelter and was transferred to us because we had room. After a long road trip, she gave birth to Chase and 3 other babies that same night, December 30, 2016. His mother and our volunteers cared for him well, and when he was 8 weeks old, he went to live with his new family. At his new home, Chase had a Bulldog brother that he frequently bossed around. The owners felt bad for their Bulldog and returned him to the shelter. He is now 9 weeks old and ready for his forever home.
