Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hello to Aksel!
Aksel is a beautiful German Shepherd mix who is approximately two years old. He weighs about 60 pounds. He was surrendered to RARE because his family didn't have the time they felt he deserved.
He loves to play and is high energy. He is good with other dogs but would rather have attention from a human. He has only been around one cat and he always chased her---not in an aggressive way----more like he wanted to play with her.
Aksel is great with children. He gets very excited and doesn't realize he's big sometimes but there isn't a mean bone in his body. He knows his basic commands (sit, stay, shake, "get your toy") and loves to play outside.
Aksel is looking for a new family to love with all his heart. Is it you?
**An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee**
**All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.**
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
