My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, everyone out there.  My name is Sparky and I recently turned seven.  I am a happy boy who just loves to be with my people.  Some of my favorite things to do are keeping my foster parents company, snuggling on the couch and exploring the outside.  I’m an excellent snuggler and napper! I have a little under-bite, so when I sleep, my tongue sticks out a bit… which my foster parents tell me is adorable, but who am I to say.

I love other dogs and both big and little people.  I’m just a bit shy, so I need a little time to get to know you, but once I do, I’ll be wagging my tail and licking your face.  Playing with my foster family’s two dogs is lots of fun, and we chase things in the yard sometimes. 

Oh, the other thing I love is eating.  At 21 pounds, and I need to lose just a pound or two (don’t we all).  Riding in the car going on new adventures, like the dog park, is a real treat, and I love my walks -- I really do -- and I’m a real gentleman about it, no pulling or anything.  

My skin is a little sensitive so what I eat is important, and I get to have baths quite frequently.  The doctor says I have a little heart murmur, but I don’t need medication and it hasn’t slowed me down at all.  

I’m just a sweet, gentle, happy dog looking for that forever home, full of love and attention, with someone to love back.

Sparky is being fostered in the Miami area and his adoption fee is $350.
