Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bowie,
This guy is an awesome little 2yr old American Hairless Terrier -- Not a breed you see very often in rescue. He's amazing, but full on Terrier.
Bowie's life was not the best before he reached RTRS. He will flinch if you raise your hand too quick. He at times gets over stimulated when you want to go bye-bye and needs to use the bathroom right away. He is about 90% house broke and is working on focus training.
Interested in making Bowie a member of your family? He needs a home that is terrier savvy and a parent or parents that embrace his unique personality. He would be amazing at agility! All high energy until he sees a bed. Loves to play with toys. Loves to play with other dogs, but he's rough. Cats he chases only to play, but again it's rough. No birds or small pets (rats, ferrets, etc.) -- true to his terrier form. No small children as uses his mouth when playing. We were told he bit two kids twice, but when the RTRS staff member went to pick him up the 4 yr kid was holding him by his throat.??
We have not seen any evidence of a mean side to Bowie. He actually gets very upset and sad if you correct him even in a strong voice. Best car kid ever. Loves his humans completely. Loves anyone once he is introduced properly. Great watch dog. Bowie needs a home with a fenced yard. He has way too much energy for Grandma so please research this breed. He a nice lap dog AFTER his workout.
To meet Bowie you will need to complete our adoption questionnaire & Explain why this breed is what you're looking for. Please read up on this rare breed. His Foster mom will be extremely careful where he his placed, wanting it to be his life home.?
Adoption fee for Bowie is $300 which includes his neuter, dental, all vax and microchip.
