Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Harper is a one-year-old black female cat. Harper was found in a foreclosed house, and what saved Harper was her kitten. The little one had climbed onto a window sill, and a neighbor saw her and wondered what the kitten was doing there. The neighbor went in, and found poor Harper huddled in the back, surrounded by four male cats that were abusing her. The neighbor called us, and one of our volunteers rushed to her rescue. Harper arrived nervous, terrified, and very, very hungry. She’s slowly relaxing and is now eating well. Harper is learning that life for her will no longer be harsh, uncaring or a struggle to survive. She’s learning that petting and stroking means affection and care, and she’s slowly learning to trust that humans and her surroundings mean safety, warmth and food. Harper is very sweet, and we can’t wait to see how she will blossom under the care of a family that will love her and cherish her. Maybe that’s you!
At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.
