Friendly Flyn is a magnet of a cat. At his foster home, he was minding his own business in the back yard when we spotted him through the bedroom window. He made eye contact with us from the yard like a Cheeta makes with prey, he was so confident and alluring! We couldn't wait to meet him!!!
His foster mother fetched him from the back yard, and we bonded like glue. Little boy Flyn is the epitome of the cat's version of a man's best friend. He seems to know people, or need people, like dogs do. There is nothing aloof about this young feline!
When initially found, he had lost the use of his back legs due to a spinal infection. With treatment, he has not only regained near full function, his road to recovery was rapid and astounded even the vet. Although he continues to require daily antibiotics, his miracle recovery status indicates that antibiotics may soon be in the rear view mirror. Also, his time on the street has resulted in an FIV positive status, so we are grateful that he is a gentle soul, and timeshares beautifully with his other nine kitty room mates. (Cats that are FIV positive can live long lives without problem). Flyn loves to be outside, but should be monitored.
