Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Updated Bio 03/15/201717. Taz is an adorable Yorkie fellow who is 7 years old and weighs 9.4 pounds. Taz is being fostered in Mobile, AL.
Taz is a very sweet little fella who loves to play with his toys. He gets along fine with the house cat and a senior basset hound. His previous owner said he had separation anxiety, but so far he has not shown any signs in his foster home, although he has not been left entirely alone either. Crates terrify him so he is NOT crated and cannot be adopted into a home where crates are used. So far he can only be left alone about 2 hours at a time without any accidents. Taz is temporarily wearing a belly-band inside the house to assist with any “accidents”, though with regular and consistent training they should not have to be used. Taz will shadow and follow his person from room to room. He really likes to be held and loved on. This is one happy, playful and very friendly little fella!
A few words from Taz.
Hello everyone! Let me just say I was a little confused when my mom handed me to this “foster” lady but when I saw the two human girls with her I got really excited! At first I thought this foster lady was trying to kill me and I am serious! She took me to a doggie doctor. That doctor had to pull some of my teeth. I literally moaned the entire way home. It was not FUN!!!! Now though I realize my mouth doesn’t hurt anymore, especially when I eat. So I guess I will forgive her. When I went back to the dog doctor today I actually lost a tiny bit of weight (imagine that!). My foster mom was happy since she said I needed to slim down a little – I don’t know what that means, but she is in charge of making sure that happens.
I love the old dog here at my foster home; he is very easy- going and is showing me the rules of the house. The cat ignores me when I want to play, but I will win her over! The little Chihuahua that comes to visit gets on my nerves! He is too wired for my liking. The girls here are really fun and play with me and my toys. At night I go to bed with the older human girl here and at some time during the night my foster mom takes me to bed with her. I think it is because she uses me as her alarm clock. I wake up between 5:30 and 6:00 every morning and have to go potty. My foster mom says she knows I won’t be with her for very long because I am adorable. I hope she is right!!!!
From Foster Mom: An ideal home for Taz would be one that has someone who can keep him on a regular house-training schedule - perhaps at least one stay-at-home parent or a retired family. He enjoys human contact and companionship. This is the perfect little lapdog. If you think you would be a perfect fit for the family Taz is looking for, please submit your application. This little guy won’t last very long! Please note: Taz can be adopted into a home with children 10 years old or older.
Taz's adoption fee is $325 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Taz by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.
