My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I am Diamond, a one year old puppy who has been through a whole lot in my short life. I am a happy bouncy dog who loves to cuddle with people that I know and that I can trust not to hurt me. I was in an accident and lost my front leg, but I get around just fine and hardly notice the leg is missing. I am house trained, love to play with other friendly dogs and with toys. Because of my past experience, I am fearful of strangers that I don't know. I am looking for a lap and new best friend that has experience with fearful dogs and who can help me continue to gain confidence. I will need a home without children but would love to have another friendly dog to bond, play with and learn from. Once I get settled in and comfortable with my new surroundings, I will prove to be a sweet, gentle, cuddly, and faithful couch companion.

As a rescue, PapAdopters is thrilled to saved this wonderful dog. Diamond has healed from her surgery, has been spayed and is up to date with her basic vaccines. But because she is still recuperating emotionally and fearful from her ordeal, we will be adopting her out locally to lower south east Michigan only so we can make a few meet and greets with her to make sure she makes a smooth transition to her new forever home. Diamond knows how to sit on command but will need continued work on teaching her to come when called. Therefore we are going to also be seeking a home that has a fenced yard.
