Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our hours are by appointment only. If you are a good match, we will contact you, typically within 72 hours. YOU WILL HEAR FROM US ONLY IF WE FIND YOU TO BE A GOOD MATCH FOR ONE OF OUR RESCUE ANIMALS AND OUR ADOPTION GUIDELINES/PROGRAM. We must review a completed application before an appointment is arranged. No exceptions. All visits with the rescue animals are by approved applications and appointments only.
Seiko is a beautiful, AKC, 13-month-old, female German Shepherd Dog. She has been well loved and well cared for by her family. Seiko’s household included an older male larger breed dog. She has never lived with cats or small dogs.
Seiko was given up as a family member in her home had severe allergies and asthma. They also felt Seiko needed a home that has more time for her as well due to the time and training a young shepherd demands.
Seiko loves to go for walks and loves car rides. She also loves to play fetch and to play ball. In her foster home, she loves playing chase with the other male shepherd.
Seiko has excellent house manners and is crate-trained. Her current foster home is in Seattle where her foster person is retired, so we would love to find an adopter who works from home or is retired, but active.
We would love to find a single or adult couple that is looking forward to putting in the time to perfect her leash work and continue her obedience training! Someone with German Shepherd experience would be wonderful!
If you would like to adopt Seiko, please visit our website and apply today!
PLEASE NOTE: The information contained within this biography is based on observations from the current foster home. In no way can we predict future behavior and or temperament as individual household dynamics vary greatly, and are impacted by the experience and leadership of those within the home.

The adoption process includes completion of an adoption application, a vet check, a home visit and a lifetime adoption contract.
Adoptions are not done on a first come first serve basis. WA German Shepherd Rescue is the companion animal's advocate and will select the most suitably matched home for the dog's general needs and the unique needs of each individual dog in our care. We reserve the right to refuse service and adoption without explanation.
