Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy is looking for his forever home. He came to us from a woman who's aunt passed leaving Buddy alone. He has been a complete joy in rescue. He is house trained, crate trained (although he doesn't require one), loves his walks, rides in the car and snuggles in bed. He is great with all size dogs, loves to play and is good with cats. He's fine with respectful children but prefers a more quiet home so visiting children would be fine but he would probably prefer to not live in a home with children.
Buddy is 7 years old and weighs about 14 pounds. He is a devoted little guy who loves to play with the other small dogs in his foster home. He look forward to his walks and is always happy to hop in the car and go along. Buddy is extremely well behaved. He seems to know what you want of him and he is happy to oblige.
Buddy's adoption will require a fenced yard or a fenced area large enough to exercise freely. He will need another playful dog in the home and someone that is not gone a typical 8 hour work day; someone that works very part time, works from home or is retired. Buddy needs to belong to someone that really wants to share their life with their dog. Buddy is the perfect definition of a Velcro dog!
Star-Mar Rescue is a natural care provider. We use no chemicals on our dogs, no commercial flea products (oral or topical), do blood titers instead of randomly vaccinating. Our yards are without fertilizer and weed killer and our homes are toxin free. We feel that dogs can be protected without being harmed by harsh chemicals and unnecessary vaccinations and do best on a species appropriate raw diet. We are happy to talk with you about caring for your dogs in a way that keeps them happy and healthy long into their senior years. We place our dogs into homes that are already practicing natural care or homes that are eager to learn.
If you feel that your lifestyle and environment meet with Buddy's needs, please contact Martha at learymjri@aol.com or call 330-466-3667 or 330-262-0515 for an application or more information. Buddy's adoption will require an approved application and a home visit, with adoption completed at Buddy's foster home. Buddy's adoption is $275.
