My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wynona lost her home recently when her elder companion died. She also lost her teeth at some point, and is hard of hearing, so we are calling her Nana Wynona. She too is an elder, vet-estimated to be 10 years old, but we suspect she might be a little older than that. We don’t know why she has no teeth — could be due to childhood disease, medications, or a simple genetic fluke. But her mouth and gums are otherwise healthy, as is the rest of her. Like many grannies, Nana Wynona, is sweet, petite, and loves to be loved. She gets along fine with the other shelter cats, and we know she lived with a dog in her previous home, so we think she'll be fine living with a dog that is not aggressive towards cats. She will also make a nice companion for most people, including older children who will only want affection from their kitty, and not expect her to be super playful and perform for them.

Wynona is box-trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. For more information on Wynona, or an adoption application, email ClayvilleCritters@cox.net, call the shelter at (401) 647-7200, or visit the shelter during regular hours: Tue, Wed, Fri 7 to 11 a.m., Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
