Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Casey was rescued by a concerned neighbor who saw that he was being kept tied out in a backyard. After speaking with Casey's owners, she was able to take him into her home where he was able to get warm and eat a good meal. We have now found a foster home where he can stay and get cared for properly until his forever home is found. We believe that Casey's birth date is around November 1, 2016 and looks to be a Labrador Retriever mix. He is very smart and is already learning house training. He loves to play and when he's all tuckered out, he is an excellent snuggler! He is very easy going and loves everyone he meets, be they 2 legged or 4. Casey has had his first two booster vaccines (Dhpplv), is neutered and has been dewormed, and started on a monthly Flea/Tick and Heartworm Preventative. Casey will stay in foster care for at least 4 more weeks so that he can receive one more booster vaccine and Rabies vaccines. He will be ready to travel to his forever home by the end of March 2017. Do you think that Casey is the “lucky Lab” that your family has been looking for? If so, email for an application today!
Please, you MUST visit the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. If you'd like to find out more information about our adoption procedure or to apply for this dog visit http://www.poochesonthemove.net/dixie-pet-underground.html
Or e-mail adoptions@dixiepetunderground.org to request an adoption application, or visit our website at www.dixiepetunderground.org.
Once we receive your complete application, an adoption counselor will call you within 48 hours of receipt of the application. During the adoption interview, the adoption counselor will tell you more about the dog/puppy and our adoption processes, as well as answer any questions you have.
Dogs and puppies are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, de-wormed, treated for fleas/ticks and heartworm negative before leaving rescue. You will receive complete medical records for your dog and puppy at the time of adoption.
The adoption fee is $450 and covers the cost of all veterinary care and transportation to your area.
Our dogs and puppies are delivered via a USDA-certified van transport and receive an Interstate Health Certificate -- issue by a licensed, accredited veterinarian -- no more than 10 days before the dog or puppy leaves rescue.
All of our dogs and puppies come into rescue from the "death row" of animal shelters in the south, or are owner surrenders or strays who were "pound bound" before coming into rescue. Adopting a dog or puppy from the Dixie Pet Underground Railroad means you are truly part of a partnership to save the life of the dog or puppy that you welcome into your family.
Our dogs or puppies are fostered at our rescue in Tennessee, meaning that it isn't possible to meet the dog or puppy before adoption. Our adoption counselor works with you to do everything possible to ensure that there is a good match between the family and the dog. We have had several hundred dogs adopted using this process and most of the time, it results in happy puppies and happy people.
If for any reason an adoption is not successful, the Dixie Pet Underground Railroad will work with the adopter to find the best possible solution for the dog and the adopting family.
We can provide contact information for adopters in your area who can tell you about their experience partnering with the Underground Railroad to save the life of a dog and make the animal a part of their family.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to find the right dog for your family!
