My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello… I’m Baxter. I’ve had a rough time lately. The staff here at SAFE found me living alone on the streets; skinny and with so much extra hair I could barely see! But look at me now!
I am a 5 year old Dainty Dinmont (Scottish hunting dog) that weighs a sturdy 23 pounds. The staff thinks I was probably never allowed indoors and was possibly abused before taking to the streets alone. But that doesn’t stop me- I am a very sweet boy and I LOVE my belly rubs!
I am housebroken, good with dogs and even cats and I really like children too.
I was recently neutered (OUCH!), microchipped, had my pearly whites cleaned, and was brought up to date on all my shots. Now I’m ready for my forever home where someone will show me the love I was missing while out on my own. I’d be happy as an only “child” or with another dog(s) to play with.
