Cal had a rough start to his life. First him and his brother's were found abandoned at just days old. He was also born with a physical deformity that gave him issues urinating. This wasn't noticeable until he was about 4 weeks old. It was life threatening for him because he would not be able to fully express his bladder. Built up urine can cause a blockage and even severe kidney damage. Due to his age at the time, surgery was not an option so our foster would assist Cal in urinating and making sure he didn't block. His bladder was expressed up to 6 times a day. It worked! And we were able to get him to a good age for surgery. He can pee normally now and is spunky as ever. He loves to play with dogs and cats. Cal loves to get attention too. Because of this though ordeal he went through, crystals form in his bladder. Cal will need to be on urinary prescription food, likely for life.
His adoption fee is $100.00 which also includes his neuter, microchipping, flea and tick, felv/fiv test, up to date on vaccines (rabies and fvrcp) and deworming.
Cal, Domestic Short Hair has been shared from Shelter Exchange.
