Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there!
My name is Jessa and I am approximately 1 year old (as of 4-19-17) and weigh about 40 pounds. I may weigh around 55 pounds when I finish growing. I am a beautiful (if I do say so myself) Anatolian Shepherd mix. I have had a hard time during my short life. I ingested some poison when I was a young puppy and it has done some damage to my kidneys. The doctor says I will be fine and can live a nice long life, but I will need special food to make sure my kidneys stay at healthy as possible. This food is kind of expensive; it's $50.00 a bag. I know that's a lot of money, but I'm a sweet girl and promise to be worth it. The doctor also said that I might have some problems holding my urine when I get older, but there is medication for that and it's not very expensive. So, I guess you would call me a special needs girl.
I am house trained and do great with other dogs and children. I am a sweet girl and would love to have a family to call my very own. Would you consider making my dreams come true?
If you will consider giving a girl like me a forever home, please contact RARE today.
**An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee**
**All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.**
Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
