Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bud! Bud is a 2 year old, 80 pound boy that got his name from the shelter we rescued him from in the rural south, and it fits him to a tee! Bud is a lover! If you pull up a definition of a “Labrador Retriever” in the dictionary, it’s Bud! He is the typical Lab personality. Easy going, happy-go-lucky, loves to retrieve balls, and doesn’t have a mean or scared bone in his body. Bud has a giant mushy face and at night he thinks he’s a 15 pound poodle and tries to curl up in your lap. The foster family’s kids use him as a body pillow and he loves the attention and hugs. He follows you around the house, curls up at your feet, and rests his head on your leg. He's your Bud and everyone's Bud.
Bud has never met a stranger. He's the friendliest (and coolest!) dog his foster has ever met, and is super eager to please! Bud just wants to make anyone and everyone happy. He enjoys playing, whether it's with a person, a dog, a ball or bone. His fosters have been working on basic commands, and just like most Labs, he’s very trainable, smart and is responding well. Bud has learned some basic commands, and he’s doing great on his leash walks. Bud has not met another dog he doesn’t like, he’s cat friendly, and he’s great around all people, adults and children. He would be great in a multi-dog family, or by himself.
Because Labs need exercise and Bud is a young, playful big boy, we recommend he go to an active family with a fenced in yard. He would love going hiking, on a boat ride, youth sports games, or wherever you’re going that cool dogs are allowed to go. If Bud stays active, he is well behaved, and if he’s bored he can be mischievous. He is still in the chewing phase like most young dogs are, and will need bones to keep him occupied during down time. He’s crate trained when he’s left at home alone, and does great.
Bud is housebroken, rides great in a car, and will make a very happy, fun addition to a family who loves the easy-going, goofy nature of Labs! He is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccines, has been dewormed and de-flea’d, and is heartworm negative.
Bud will be available to meet on Saturday, February 11 from 10am-1pm at Petco, 545 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD. Come meet this amazing and wonderful boy!
