Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Shiloh and I'm a perfect size, 40 -45 lb dog. I'm also a great age, at 2-3 yrs. old...still young enough for an active life, but over the puppy chewing stages. You might ask what breed of dog I am? I had a DNA test done and guess what? I might not look like it but I am over 50% Alaskan malamute, some husky, some corgi, and a tiny speck of St. Bernard. But I look much more like a Labrador Retriever...so no telling. Anyway, I think that's a pretty good pedigree.
I'm perfectly house-trained and have very good manners. I know how to sit;, when asked or when I want something. I don't jump up on people and I'm very good at kenneling.
It does take me a few minutes to get used to other dogs, but once we become acquainted in a polite manner, I do very well. However, I really do enjoy the companionship of people more than dogs. I am a dog that doesn't mind being the only dog, as I am so much more of a people lover Other calm and polite dogs are OK, but I don't tend to pay attention to them...I'd rather concentrate on the people. My foster family had a party, the other night, and I made every one of the guests feel welcome and at home.
Speaking of playing , though... I LOVE to play with balls. Any kind of balls: soccer, baseball, tennis...anything. I love to fetch them, or chase after them, if you want to play soccer with me. I'm doing well on my leash handling skills, if you use my harness. All in all, if you have a little patience to help me to continue to adjust from the shelter life, I'm a wonderful, affectionate, loyal companion, who'll be the perfect hiking/running/camping/fetch partner. If you'd like to meet me, please contact wagsfund@gmail.com.
