My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nikki is a great girl that will be 2 years old in March. Nikki and her brother came into NWGDR because their owner was ill and not able to care for them any longer. Nikki would do best in a home with a male dog to keep her company. I don't think she would do well as an only dog.

Nikki's foster mom had the following to say about her:
Nikki is very loving. She is truly a Velcro Dane and will follow you through her greatest fears. So far this has been going down stairs (so scary!). She seeks out companionship whenever she sees the opportunity. She has good manners and would benefit from someone who can take command over her to show her what is right and wrong. She knows basic commands but is very stubborn on following through. She is very curious and friendly and just wants to be with her new family. She is almost out of her puppy stage but every once in a while gets a bit too curious about what something is and will take it upon herself to taste it. However, she is doing fine outside the crate both at night and short term by her self as she is housebroken. We are slowing increasing the time she is being left alone to see if she is ready to be out of the crate full time. She is gentle around kids but as with any large dog, she needs to be watched to make sure she doesn't get too big around them and knock them over. She will make a good addition to any family!
