My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alexus! This sweet girl came to NDR VERY pregnant & terrified of everyone. Within 72 hours of arriving, she delivered 9 healthy and beautiful puppies. The next 9 weeks were spent raising these angels and she did a wonderful job, even with her small size (35-40 lbs) with some VERY large puppies. We don't know her entire story, but she originally came from California City Animal Shelter in CA. NDR normally doesn't take dogs from outside of OR/WA, but she was on a transport with nowhere to go, so we couldn't say no! Alexus has not been cat tested, but does very well with young children and spent the last few months around a 2 & 4 year old. She does well with most dogs, unless they are much larger than her and are SUPER rambunctious as that seems to overwhelm and scare her. She LOVES to cuddle and is the type of dog that likes to be by your side, wherever you go.

Alexus will go to her new home spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and her hernia repaired. She walks well on leash, but does have some times where she will get a bit riled up if she sees another dog that scares her. Very easily redirected and VERY food motivated! Pictures do not do justice or show her adorable, bouncy personality (she loves to hop on her back legs and LOVES to play in the snow!

Adoption fee is $200, which reflects the additional medical and other care she has needed to get her ready for adoption.
