My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lyra, along with 3 other dachshunds, was surrendered by an elderly owner who was facing serious health issues and who could not provide the needed vet care for the dogs. Lyra had had no immunizations or other vet care; however we were quickly able to remedy this situation. Lyra is a black and tan smooth dapple miniature (weighs 10 pounds) female. We anticipate her being ready for adoption around October October 10th.

UPDATE: 9/22/08 Lyra is a cuddlebug and her favorite thing to do is curl up in a chair next to a favorite human. She gets along well with the other dachshunds in her foster home and likes to sun herself in the backyard whenever she has the chance.
