Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ENGLISH BULLDOG PUPPY! It's love at first sight for Fitzhugh and you! He loves everyone and everyone loves him. Fitz is more adorable than his photos! He will melt your heart! Fitzhugh is a funny, squishy and special boy who loves to snuggle and play with toys and other dogs. He wants to be smashed up against you or held while he showers you with kisses. Fitz is small and underweight right now at only 30 pounds and has a sore on his chin that should heal. He should weigh around 35 pounds. Fitz is the typical adventurous and hyper puppy who likes to get into things, like the refrigerator. He will clean the dishes, if you leave the dishwasher open. Fitz needs to be potty trained and learn that not everything is a chew toy. He's intrigued by Mother Nature and squirrels, so he should be supervised outside and rewarded for potty training. Fitz has hip dysplasia (a very common issue for English Bulldogs). Supplements are helping Fitz. We hope he won't need surgery, but it's too soon to tell. If hip issues scare you, an English Bulldog might not be right for you. Adult English Bulldogs usually have hip or some other medical issue. They're a special, high maintenance breed. Currently, Fitz falls down, so a home without tiny dogs or babies may be best. Since Fitzhugh deserves to be treated like a king, he must have a parent who's around a lot and doesn't work long hours all week. Fitz's adoption fee is $800. Saving Fitz's life will cost our rescue more, so the fee is nonnegotiable. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION. The application is downloadable from our site. You must travel to Asheville, NC to adopt. We will not ship or transport.
