My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Gizmo! I was surrendered to Florida Parrot Rescue when my previous owner couldn’t care for me anymore. I don’t know how old I am, but I lived at the last house for approximately seven years. When I was there, I was not confined. I got to roam free and fly around on a screened porch, so I’m currently trying to get used to being in a cage and being clipped.
I’m a bit shy, but very curious and interested. I’m scared right now to let anyone touch me, but I have lots of potential if you’re patient with me. My foster mom thinks I’m a little lady due to my pretty pearl coloring even though I’ve been called a boy most of my life. She’s working with me to try to get me to trust her. I am a happy bird so I chirp a lot, but don't sing or talk.
Right now, I only eat seed. She's trying to get me to taste different things for an improved diet. I keep ignoring everything she puts in front of my beak because I don’t recognize it yet as food, but I will someday.
I see several of these furry four-leg things walking around the house that bark and meow, but they’re new to me so I keep a close eye on them for sure! I have no experience with young children. I don't usually bite, but I am very nervous so I’ll frantically flutter around the cage to get away from you if try to pet me. I know if you spent a lot of time with me and gave me love, I could become a great companion. I am eager to join a forever family. Could that forever family be yours? Come meet me and let's find out! I also would be grateful if you'd be willing to buy me some things from my Amazon wish list.

Hope to see you soon! Chirps, Gizmo
